Who built those 7 cruise terminals? Presumably some bloke didn't just turn up with his toolbox and an extension lead? They were constructed on the orders of local government/town council/port authority/whoever is in charge. What does that body say now? "Oh, we didn't realise that cruise ships would actually turn up if we built the infrastructure"? Make your minds up, Barcelona!
I simply can not fathom traveling that way. Spending time confined to a floating Petri dish, then being disgorged into a town with 10,000 other people for a few hours before returning to aforementioned Petri dish.
Anything that can reduce the use of places as theme parks has to be a good thing. Ultimately, those that do choose to visit should benefit as they will experience a place as it was intended as opposed to the place that has shifted personality from what drew visitors in the first instance.

This is an ongoing challenge!

Nicely stated...
So happy to hear this!
Good for them! I wish Málaga and Cádiz would put more limits on cruise ships, they’re an absolute curse
